Since 1994 Technomad has been manufacturing high-fidelity, reliable weatherproof outdoor speaker systems for a wide range of clients (including many theme parks, cruise ships, military installations, aquatic facilities and other clients).

Proprietary weatherproofing and rainproof technology is combined with military-specification enclosures and first-rate loudspeaker drivers to produce "best in class" solutions for outdoor sound reinforcement. The Technomad "Weathertech" rain-proof 3 layer grill provides an unmatched solution for hifi outdoor audio that resists rain, snow, precipitation, insects and other sources of speaker damage.

Technomad also manufacture the Schedulon MP3 player/recorder and the unique PowerChiton range of outdoor monoblock power amplifiers.

Technomad Electronic Products
	The Schedulon offers both instant playback of your MP3 format audio via a convenient knob and screen, and also allows you to schedule sounds for automatic unattended playback, for example abell every day at 08:00, safety announcements every 30 minutes, a special song every Saturday at 10:00. Robust flash-RAM memory (no hard-drive) makes the Schedulon message repeater tough and reliable - and unlike a PC-based solution, it can’t catch a virus or crash due to operating system errors. Robust internal Real Time Clock (RTC) ensures accurate time, or use an internet Time Server. The Schedulon can record audio from its stereo line-in jacks - audio is encoded as high-quality (192kbps) MP3 sound files and assigned to any desired knob location for playback. You can also use the recorded sound in a schedule for automatic playback. Configure all functions of the Schedulon via a convenient web-interface using your computer, or configure the unit in the field with no computer using the knob and screen. 	The PowerChiton series of weatherproof amplifier modules represent a new approach to outdoor audio systems. Combining a high performance, passively cooled amplifier with a IP66 rated, low profile enclosure, the PowerChiton offers the system installer or designer a new solution for the problems of distributed outdoor audio system design. Each PowerChiton monoblock amplifier module is capable of powering a two ohm load and therefore can drive one, two, or three eight-ohm loudspeakers. Due to the efficient design of the amplifier module, only a passive radiator is needed for cooling and there are no moving parts in the module, reducing failure points.
